NEWS FROM CREWKERNE METHODIST CHURCH STEWARDS
Edwin & Pam write …
….. One of the unexpected spin-offs from this time of restriction and isolation is the fact that we are spending less money on petrol and trips out for coffee and cakes , snack lunches etc .
So we’ve decided to use some of that saving to show our appreciation and gratitude to those organisations within Crewkerne who are providing year round care and finding the current situation quite stressful .
We are therefore planning , as part of Outreach from the church , to send NIBBLE PACKS to the staff at our local surgeries and pharmacy , Crewkerne Hospital & Orchard House Care Home .
These NIBBLE PACKS will contain a selection of healthy snacks as well as the naughty but nice variety all of which will be wrapped .
Each pack will have the same message …. “ in appreciation of all you do for our local community . Grateful thanks from Crewkerne Methodist Church “ .
By the end of this week we will have delivered packs to Crewkerne Health Centre … Middle Path & West 1 plus the pharmacy .
Next week we have arranged for gift packs to be sent to Crewkerne Hospital and The Orchard Care Home .
In addition to sounding out our fellow church stewards we also ran the idea past our minister Philip and Margaret Hall (Church Treasurer) and received some very positive backing and encouragement for the scheme .
It will be totally funded by way of voluntary pledges from the congregation.

Thank you for taking the time to reads through this letter .
Edwin & Pam
